Anne’s After-school Art Club – Autumn semester
November 22 @ 16:00
Autumn semester after-school Art Club
The Club for children to enjoy and develop a passion for art!
Autumn semester dates are: 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th Nov. Join just the one session, two, three or all four of them.
These sessions are aimed at both developing existing and introducing new art skills to children aged 9-11. A different art technique will be taught in each session to achieve individual pieces of artwork. Over the course of the sessions, throughout the school year, the children will be shown how to use specific materials and art media, such as pencil, chalk and oil pastels, charcoal, acrylic, watercolour and poster paints as well as papier-mâché and clay modelling. The children will also learn how the various techniques and styles relate to art movements and famous artists. Payment includes tuition and all materials.
Please ensure children arrive by 4pm and are collected promptly at 5pm
About the tutor – Anne Pitts
Anne was formerly a freelance graphic designer before her career in teaching. She moved to Ludlow in 2022 after 14 years art consultancy experience, working with primary schools, to design and teach their cross-curriculum art workshops. During this time, Anne also organised and provided a wide range of after-school and lunchtime art clubs and further provided art teaching training sessions for existing and newly qualified teachers.
Since moving to Ludlow, although Anne continued to provide art consultancy in London for a further year, she joined Ludlow Fringe as a volunteer and coordinated the 2023 Ludlow Carnival. This gave her the opportunity to continue what she loves most -teaching art to young children- by working with local schools and organisations.
Anne introduced 2-hour Anne’s Art Club school holiday, family craft sessions in August 2023 at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms. These have proved both popular and successful. Anne holds a DBS advance certified and a certificate for first aid at work.
