Celebrating 100 Years of Cinema: The Lost World (1925)
April 26 @ 2:00 PM

This American silent fantasy-giant-monster-adventure film was the first adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic novel about a land where prehistoric creatures still roam. After discovering the existence of dinosaurs in the Amazon, Professor Challenger leads a team on an expedition, where they are amazed and shocked to witness the results of a company’s secret activities.
The film was direct inspiration to the Jurassic Park film and precursor to King Kong too. An important part of cinema history. This year, Ludlow Assembly Rooms (Picture House) celebrates 100 years of showing film to the people of Ludlow. Join us to watch this monster classic with live musical accompaniment from Steve Dunachie 100 years after it was originally screened right here at Ludlow Picture House
