“No one has ever trained for an event like that.”

Tom Hanks stars in Clint Eastwood’s (Million Dollar Baby) sober, compelling and thrillingly naturalistic biopic re-enacting the astonishing events of 15th January 2009, when Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger made an emergency landing in New York's Hudson River after the flight he was co-piloting struck a flock of geese.

Afterwards – having saved 155 passengers and crew and led them through a harrowing ordeal – Sullenberger became a national hero in the eyes of the public and the media, but despite the accolades, faces an investigation that threatens to destroy his career and reputation.
