On 3rd March 1943, the air raid sirens sounded in Bethnal Green. People were making their way to the shelter when a woman tripped and fell. 173 people were crushed to death. It was the largest civilian disaster of WW2. Two actors play a variety of roles, often quoting verbatim survivor testimony. In the space of an hour, the audience will experience the claustrophobia, smell, sounds and darkness of the shelter and the tragedy in this disturbing immersive experience.
