Dir: Nicholas Ray | USA | 1950 | 91 mins
To coincide with the release of 'Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool', a masterful piece of classic cinema where the legendary Gloria Grahame takes on the role of smart, would-be actress and 'should-know-better' Laurel Gray opposite Humphrey Bogart as damaged Hollywood screenwriter and drinker, Dixon Steele. Steele becomes the suspect of a violent murder and only Gray can provide an alibi for him. They form a relationship that begins to blossom but as Steele's behaviour becomes more erratic, Gray begins to doubt his innocence.
