Suffragette (12A)

Marking 100 years since the women's right to vote in the UK, Suffragette tells the story of early 20th-century Britiain, when the growing suffragette movement changes the life of working wife and mother Maud Watts (Carey Mulligan).

Motivated by political acitivist Emmeline Pankhurst (Meryl Streep), Watss joins a diverse group of women who fight for equality and the right to vote. Face with increasing police action, Maud and her dedicated suffragettes must play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse, risking their jobs, homes, family and lives for a just cause.
