Edie’s (Sheila Hancock) father had planned a trip from them before his death 30 years ago but her controlling husband had made her stay at home. Now, months after her husband’s death and with a strained relationship with her daughter, the older lady sets out alone to fulfil the lifelong dream trip to climb a mountain in the Scottish Highlands. A tale of overcoming resentment and bitterness in life and triumph over adversity.
