Blackkklansman (15)

Visionary filmmaker  Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman is a broad satirical comedy of the 1970’s American race war and a parable of passing for black and passing for white.  Based on the true story of Ron Stallworth (John David Washington), the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan.

The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group as the organization aims to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream.

Produced by the team behind the Academy-Award (R) winning Get Out, BlacKkKlansman uses history to offer bitingly trenchant commentary on current events -- and brings out some of Spike Lee's hardest-hitting work in decades along the way.

This event is screened in Oscars and spaces are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
