Rocketman (15)

Taron Egerton leads as Elton John in a musical fantasy showcasing Elton’s formative years and the incredible human story behind them.

Reginald Dwight, a shy child, lives with his parents in Pinner where his father’s stilted emotions sow the seeds for creative pain and rage. His adoring gran encourages his music and ‘Reg’ becomes a piano prodigy. The story follows the transformation from this humble beginning to the rise and glitz of one of Britain’s most iconic musicians and figures in pop culture as well as international superstar – Elton John.

Set to some of the most well-known and beloved songs by Elton and performed by Egerton, the film also starts Jamie Bell as his songwriting partner and lyricist Bernie Taupin, Bryce Dallas Howard as his mother Sheila Farebrother and Richard Madden as his first manager John Reid. An inspirational and relatable story of a small town boy’s rise to success.
