Young Danish cellist Jonathan Swensen is no stranger to Arcadia Festival audiences. Those who have heard him and watched his talent develop over the years will not be surprised that he is now winning major international prizes: In 2018 The Khachaturian International Cello Competition in Armenia, followed by the Young Concert Artist award in New York, one of the most prestigious awards on the Classical music scene. This summer he will enter the Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow. In preparation for this Arcadia and St Giles are thrilled to host this fund-raising concert. Thomas Bowes will host and join as guest artist in an evening of solo cello plus violin. Your chance too to ask Jonathan about his developing career in a Q and A session. Not to be missed!
