Shoplifters (15)

After a sell out screening in March and due to popular demand, we are bringing back Shoplifters.

A marginalised band of thieves living on the poverty-stricken fringes of Japan steals the show in Hirokazu Koreeda’s masterly drama.

Understated yet ultimately deeply affecting, 2018 Palme d’Or winner Shoplifters adds another powerful chapter to director Hirokazu Koreeda’s richly humanistic filmography.

“It’s an eerily moving piece, masterfully blurring the divide between the unforgivable and understandable, finding tenderness in the bleakest and most traumatic of circumstances.” Mark Kermode – The Guardian

This event is screened in Oscars and spaces are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
