Winner of Grand Jury Prize at Cannes 2018

The journey of a hardened, clever and gutsy 12 year old boy, Zain, who survives through his wits on the city streets. After fleeing his negligent parents, committing a violent crime and serving a five year jail term, Zain takes care an Ethiopian refugee and her baby whilst suing his parents for the life they have given him and to assert his human rights.

Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at Cannes 2018, this hopeful and deeply passionate and emotional film was made by Lebanese director Labaki and made up of a non-professional cast playing characters whose lives closely parallel their own.

This event is subtitled and screened in Oscars. Spaces are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment
