Windy Old Fossils presented by Pentabus and Fair Acre Press

Pentabus and Fair Acre Press present the launch of the newly published play script
Windy Old Fossils  by Tom Wentworth.

This is a FREE to attend event in Oscars. Doors open at 5.45pm for a 6pm start.

Come to this free event and meet Tom Wentworth at the launch of his play scriptWindy Old Fossils. There will be a rehearsed reading of an extract from the play, a talk from Tom Wentworth and Sophie Motley, as well as a short question and answer session.

Tom is from South Shropshire. He has been commissioned by Graeae, The Watermill, the Bush and National Theatre Wales. His latest play Burke and Hare has just finished a successful run in the West End. Tom was one of the first PentabusYoung Writers in 2014 where the journey of Windy Old Fossils began.

Elderly siblings, Ted and Lizzie, huddle in their Shropshire cottage with nothing but the winter wind for company. As the weather gets colder, their electricity keeps blacking out and they begin to go to desperate and often humorous lengths to keep warm. Windy Old Fossils is a black comedy about age, energy and isolation.

'Tom Wentworth is a fantastic Shropshire playwright who's really making a name for himself. He's one to add to the list of local talent, and his journey began in Ludlow as one of our very first Pentabus Young Writers. We're thrilled to welcome him back to Ludlow to publish the play that he wrote for Pentabus.' Artistic Director, Sophie Motley
