Birdbrother
Birdbrother is a duo which comprises singer songwriter Philip Stapley on guitar and his musical partner Paul Beadle (accomplished multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has played at Glastonbury Festival, Warwick Festival, Upton Folk Festival, Newent Folk Festival, Pontardawe Festival, The Barbican in London, and more, and has been a troubadour of the local folk scene for four decades with 'Whiteleaved Oak', 'Splatt' and 'Journeyman').
While Philip’s etheric soothing tones transport the listener to distant melancholic realms, Paul enchants with his energetic and unique performance playing flute, percussion, guitar and mandolin.
Birdbrother play all original songs of love, life and spirituality, which paint a romantic, inspiring, optimistic, thought-provoking, yet sometimes melancholic picture. Their brand of psychedelic, dream-weaving has been compared to that of Nick Drake, Donovan and John Martyn and undoubtedly has its roots in 60’s/70’s progressive, acoustic folk.
