Set in the 1970s and present day, the film tells the story of sisters Alberta and Gabriella Canova and the group of women who work for their cinema costume company in Rome.
A director summons his favorite actresses, with whom he has worked and whom he has loved. He wants to make a film about women, but he doesn't reveal much: he observes them, takes examples, is inspired, until his imagination catapults them to another era, to a past where the noise of sewing machines fills a workplace run and populated by women, where men have small marginal roles and cinema can be told from another point of view: that of costumes.
This film is in Italian with subtitles in Latvian and English.
