Ludlow u3a meetings: Peru – Land of the Incas
A talk by Brian Anderson

27 April 2026 @ 10:30
In this presentation, Brian Anderson, photographer, architect and adventurer discusses the history, geography and uniqueness of the Inca Empire. Brian has visited Peru many times and has trekked for five days on the famous Inca Train across the Andes and down into Machu Picchu.
In his images he reveals the local people and culture, the wildlife in the desolate but colourful landscape of the Andea altiplano and the stunning architecture and cyclopean masonry of the Inca temples and fortresses.
Monthly meetings take place on the last Monday of each month. There are no meetings in July, August and December, and the May meeting takes place a week earlier due to the bank holiday. They provide an opportunity for members of u3a in Ludlow to meet and chat, to talk to committee members and to hear a talk given by a guest speaker on a wide variety of subjects.
The programme for 2026 can be found on the u3a website here:
Meetings start with coffee and tea at 10:30 in Oscars, moving into the auditorium at 11:00 to hear a guest speaker.
With the range of knowledge and skill of our members we are keen to encourage speakers from within our membership. So if you have a subject you would happily talk to the group about, contact the Speakers Coordinator, meetings@u3ainludlow.org.uk
If you are not yet a member of the u3a, but are interested in attending one of the lectures, please come along and say hello.
