Music at Bill’s Kitchen with Salt Peanuts
Join us for another glorious evening of music and food at Bill' Kitchen . Music only tickets are £12, to enjoy a two-course supper as well as music will cost you £28.
SALT PEANUTS….. tasty, crunchy, addictive! Modern standards and funky grooves by Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Nina Simone and Funk, Inc. with many others along the way. A return visit after their well-received debut at Bill’s in 2025 and a packed show at Kidderminster Jazz Club.
On alto/soprano saxophone and vocals, Carolyn Evans – LRQ (Cheltenham Jazz 2022), “Juiced” (produced by Massive Attack producer John Waterhouse), Big Blues Tribe (British Blues award nominees), and Boperator Boogie Band (Brum Jazz Fest).
On bass, Iain Elliot – LRQ (Cheltenham Jazz 2022), Nick Holmes, Worcester-based Rose Hannant, and a slew of London bands/session musicians.
On drums, Tom Fisher – Tom has been playing drums for far longer than he cares to admit, from jazz trios up to an 18 piece big band and accompanying many Midlands/international artists.
The above three amigos form the nucleus of the band, working with a variety of the Midlands’ hottest soloists – they are joined tonight by the cool keys of John MacDonald, whose ivories have graced many a stage UK-wide. A pic’n’mix of great musicians playing great sounds.
