A brilliant line-up of local films chosen to compete for the Open Screen Best Film award 2026.

The filmmakers will be in attendance to watch their films on the big screen followed by brief Q&As with the selectors and the audience. Eligible films have been made in the Borderlines Film Festival area – Herefordshire, Powys, Shropshire and Worcestershire – within the last two years. Films are rated on creativity and innovation, both in story and style, as well as technical and logistical achievement. Resources available to the production are taken into consideration.
