Ludlow 1265
Come and join us in an immersive experience of life in Ludlow in 1265. We will hear individual presentations from the governor of Ludlow Castle, foot soldiers, stone masons, traders and townsfolk telling their personal stories of life under Norman rule and their relationship with an outside world as exotic as it is foreboding.
Set amidst the ancient pillars of St Laurence Church we will bring to life a time of feudal order where residents lived off the produce of local field and forest yet learned of far-off lands where Ludlow Cloth was traded in the markets of Florence and Venice, and the Knights Templars made their journey to the Holy Lands.
