Pantomime Production Assistant

Part-time – 7 – 8 hours per week for 6 month contract, £13.00 p/h

About the Role

Ludlow Pantomime is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Production Assistant to support the planning, coordination and delivery of our 2026 production of Sleeping Beauty.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, has excellent administrative and communication skills, and is passionate about helping a community theatre production run smoothly.

The Production Assistant will work closely with the production team, cast, crew and volunteers, ensuring information is communicated effectively and administrative processes are managed efficiently throughout the rehearsal and performance period.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate rehearsal schedules and maintain accurate rehearsal records.
• Act as a central point of communication between the production team, cast, crew and volunteers.
• Distribute rehearsal schedules, production updates, meeting notes and other key documentation.
• Maintain production databases, contact lists and attendance records.
• Support the organisation of production meetings and prepare agendas and minutes where required.
• Assist with the administration of auditions, casting information and performer documentation.
• Manage and organise production paperwork, including licences, permissions and other administrative records.
• Support budget tracking and expenditure recording alongside the production team.
• Help ensure production deadlines are met and that key information is communicated promptly.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) or equivalent software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly, professional and approachable manner.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in theatre, events, arts administration or project coordination.
• Experience working with volunteers.
• Knowledge of amateur theatre production processes.
• Familiarity with online scheduling and collaboration tools.

Rate of Pay: £13 per hour
Hours: Approximately 7–8 hours per week (ideally Mondays)
