Music in Bills Kitchen with Rosie Green and Martin Thomas

Mon 6 Jul

Rosie Green and Martin Thomas are delighted to be returning to Bill’s Kitchen !

Rose and Martin are well respected songwriters and performers throughout the Borders and West Midlands. Rosie Green first played at Ludlow Assembly rooms in the 1990’s with fellow songwriter Ieuan Jones, having previously played support for Fairport Convention, Ric Saunders, Jake Thackery and others.

Both Martin and Rosie are members of the ever popular Americana band Grey Wolf.

Rosie is a dancer and solo vocalist of the Appalachian Dance-Side Raise the Dust, as well as writing poetry, eulogies and songs and books for children. Her songs have been covered by the guitarist Lee Collinson amongst others.

Martin is a multi-instrumentalist and has been playing traditional and self penned music since 1980’s and has collaborated with other songwriters and appeared on several recordings. As part of Grey Wolf he appears on their latest album Silver Sessions. Martin’s self penned album Hearthstone, produced by Ben Walsh, was released in April 2024 and premiered here at the Assembly Rooms.

Rosie and Martin’s songs come from the heart of things, uplifting – and always thought-provoking.
