Ludlow Lectures: Life In Georgian Ludlow
In the 1700s, Ludlow was a social and economic centre for the region, and much of what is visible in the town’s streetscape today was built at this time. But why was Ludlow so prosperous? What of the people and their pastimes – the movers and shakers of the day and those that served them? How did they live their lives? Where can we see their influence today? Margaret de Lattre, Georgian History enthusiast and Ludlow Town Guide will take you through a whistlestop tour of 18th century Ludlow’s people and their preoccupations.
Cost: £5 on the door or free entry for students with student card and for under 16s
The lecture is 10am-12pm, with a coffee break in the middle. (Coffee may be ordered before the lecture, at the Bar.)
