Getting to Ludlow Assembly Rooms

Location

Our main entrance is located on Castle Street on the market square in the centre of Ludlow. You will find our box-office and Visitors Information Centre here – next to Bill’s Kitchen cafe. Some events in our ‘Oscars’ venue are accessed from round the corner in Mill Street. This entrance will be clearly signed when in use.

Parking

There are several car parks in Ludlow town centre. The nearest to LAR is Castle Street carpark (2 min walk with no incline). There are larger carparks at Galdeford and Smithfield (10-15 mins walk). Carparks are pay and display from 8am to 6pm, after which parking is free.

A Park-and-Ride bus service is available to town from the A49 bypass. This operates from Monday to Saturday (7:30am – 5:45pm). The bus runs every 30 mins and more details can be found here.

There is limited on-street parking in the town centre which is also free after 6pm.

Disabled Parking

Disabled parking spaces can be found in all of the main carparks, and there are a number of on-street disabled spaces for blue-badge holders. The nearest ones to LAR can be found at the top of Mill Street.

Public Transport

Ludlow is served by trains on the line between Hereford and Shrewsbury. The train station is a 15 minute walk uphill. Taxis are few and far between so best booked in advance. There are also local bus services for the surrounding area. Details of bus services can be found here.
