Tickets and Booking
Tickets can be booked on our website by clicking on the relavant tile on the What’s On page listings. Or you can book by telephone (01584 878141), or in person at out box-office which faces on to Castle Square in Ludlow. Box office hours are: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday lunchtimes 11:00 – 14:00. Monday to Saturday evenings 18:00 – 20:00. These hours may be different over the festive season – see here for festive opening hours.
Contact our box-office and they will be able to re-send e-tickets or print off paper tickets if required for you to collect. Box Office 01584 878141
Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. Exchanges may be possible in some cases — please contact the Box Office for assistance.
Cinema tickets are availabe for adults, and a concessionary price is available for under-18s. There are no other concessions. Wheelchair users are able to bring a carer along for free by contacting box office. Other events may have concessionary prices but please see the show listing for details.
The ticket price advertised is what you pay. There is a booking fee included.
Our auditorium has two dedicated areas for wheelchair users. These can also be accompanied by a carer in the adjacent seat if required. Please contact the box-office if you require a wheelchair space for an auditorium show. There are no dedicated wheelchair spaces in our other venues but these are usally accessible for wheelchair users. Please contact the box-office with any enquiries.
Yes. You will receive your tickets with your email confirmation so long as we have a valid email address for you. Please have them ready on your device when you arrive or print them out before hand. Paper tickets can be requested if required to be collected at box-office.
No, we regret that photography and sound/video recordings are not permitted unless this has been agreed in writing with a performer in advance.

Opening hours
Our Box Office is typically open 11am – 2pm on Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday, and Monday – Saturday evenings from 6-8pm. Check our website for up-to-date opening times.

Visitor Information Centre – Opening Hours
Monday to Saturday
10 – 2pm (Winter months)
10 – 4pm (Spring and Summer)
LAR usually opens at least 30–60 minutes before the advertised start time. Doors to the auditorium typically open 15-20 minutes before an event begins.

Yes – the venue is fully accessible, including a lift to all floors and accessible toilet facilities.

Bar & Cafe

Our bar stocks a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and refreshements. We try to stock products from local businesses as much as possible, including Ludlow Brewery, Apple Teme and Ludlow Nut Company. Food and drink bought in LAR can be taken into the venue. Our cabaret venue ‘Oscars’ has a bar within the room and this may be open during events there.
We are fortunate to have a fabulous cafe restaurant on the ground floor. Bill’s Kitchen is open Monday – Sunday serving breakfasts, homemade coffee and cake and delicious, wholesome pre show suppers on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. If you book a pre-show meal 24 hours in advance, you can benefit from a two course meal for just £16.

We are located in the centre of Ludlow in Shropshire. Our main entrance faces the market on Castle Street. This is also where you will find the box-office and the visitors information centre. A few of our events in ‘Oscars’ are entered via the Oscars alley round the corner on Mill Street. This will be indicated on your ticket.
Yes – several public car parks are available within a short walk.
Yes – we’re a 10-15 minute walk from Ludlow train station and have bus stops right outside the building. More details here.
Film screenings
All our cinema screenings have unreserved seating. If there are particular seats you prefer then we advise arriving early enough to avoid any crowds. Our auditorium seats 243 and there is often plenty of seat choice available.
There are usually some adverts and trailers before the film starts but we aim to start the film at the time indicated on your ticket.
