Our Dementia Friendly Screenings are designed for anyone who prefers a calmer, more comfortable watching experience, including those living with dementia, their carers, and others who enjoy a more relaxed setting. 

You can expect soft lighting, freedom to move around as needed, encouragement to sing along during musical moments, an interval with tea and cake. 

Our caring staff and volunteers will have an understanding of dementia and will be on hand to offer a warm welcome and friendly support throughout your visit. 

In this classic musical Western, Doris Day stars as Calamity Jane, a tough and independent frontierswoman in Deadwood. When she sets out to bring a renowned singer to town, unexpected challenges arise, including her growing connection with Wild Bill Hickok (Howard Keel). Featuring the Academy Award-winning song “Secret Love”, this film blends adventure, romance, and memorable music in a timeless Hollywood favorite.
