Celebrating 100 Years of Cinema : Charlie Chaplin's Gold Rush (PG)
June 20 @ 7:30 PM

This year, Ludlow Assembly Rooms (Picture House) celebrates 100 years of showing film to the people of Ludlow and Charlie Chaplin’s comedic masterwork turns 100 this very year! It remains the highest-grossing silent comedy ever and is the film that Charlie Chaplin hoped would he would be remembered for.
The Gold Rush is a delightful blend of slapstick humour, poignant emotion, and social commentary. The rags to riches tale follows a prospector’s search for fortune in Klondike. Add in romance, timeless gags, and a live orchestra playing the movie score and we think that just about equals a perfect afternoon out.
