Explore Whitcliffe Common

Below the Castle, has the only riverside walk, the Breadwalk, joining both sides of the town. The Breadwalk was created in 1850, where you can see a waterfall, fossil casts and geological rock faces.

Volunteers around to answer questions and fossils will be available to handle.

Whitcliffe was designated a common by an Act of Parliament, in 1821, to be managed by the people of Ludlow. Whitcliffe Common is managed by Friends of Whitcliffe Common (Charity No, 10678639)
in conjunction with the leaseholders Shropshire Wildlife Trust.
