Borderlines: The Penguin Lessons (12A)

March 14 @ 7:00 PM

Borderlines: The Penguin Lessons (PG)

Steve Coogan brings deadpan irony to this warm and witty comedy from the director of The Full Monty and Military Wives, based on a best-selling memoir. Buenos Aires, 1976: Tom begins a teaching job at an elite English boarding school. But Argentina is fraught with political violence and the military coup d’état interrupts teaching. On a weekend trip, Tom encounters a penguin drenched in oil and rescues it against his better judgment. In doing so, he unlocks its undying loyalty and, sneaking the flightless bird back to Argentina, begins a singular friendship that sees the penguin become an unwitting agent of change for the whole school.

DIRECTOR: Peter Cattaneo

CAST: Steve Coogan, Björn Gustafsson, David Herrero, Jonathan Pryce
