LIT BITS: Memoir Writing Workshop with Tiffany Murray

Do you want to write your story, or a family story in some form? Then this workshop is for you. Led by novelist and memoirist Tiffany Murray, this is for writers of all levels. If you want to write memoir you must use the tools of fiction to hold a reader’s attention, and if you want to write fiction based on real-life experience you must mine and examine these stories using these same tools. This workshop will open up your creativity, and it will be supportive and fun.
Tiffany Murray’s memoir is My Family and Other Rock Stars. Her novels Diamond Star Halo, Happy Accidents and Sugar Hall, have variously been shortlisted for the Wodehouse Bollinger Prize and she received the Roger Deakin Award for nature writing. Tiffany has been a Hay Festival Fiction Fellow, a Fulbright scholar, and a Senior Lecturer. Her series, ‘Hulda’s Café’ is available on BBC Radio 4.
