Rapping/DJ workshop with Mark Loughman aka ‘Lofty’ for ages 13+
In a two hour session you will get a introduction to rap/hip hop with a display and some freestyle lyrics ( young people can give lofty subjects to rap about) They will be guided in how to write they’re own rap , and also the DJ will give them a introduction to DJing mixing and scratching . If the session goes well , we’ll record onto a CD and email the participants a copy.
Mark Lofty Loughman founder member of dub dance pioneers ‘Dubmerge’ front man of ‘Last Tree Squad’ and DJ / MC in his own right, has been in the music industry for over 30 years.
He’s toured Europe, UK extensively, played with many established acts from Lethal Bizzle to Miss Dynamite, Zion train to name a few . His career took him into doing hip hop/ dj workshop’s after meeting with with Hereford charity the music pool . As a young man he’d had brushes with the police and authorities, so then decided that he wanted to help young people and steer them out of trouble through the medium of rap and hip hop culture.
