COMEDY HOTSPOT – TALENT SHOWCASE

Comedy Hotspot are putting together a very special night of comedy with the support of The Assembly Rooms in Ludlow.

Oscars will play host to super comedy showcase with an opportunity to see some of the best comedians in the country yet to do a Comedy Hotspot gig. 4 super talented acts will be bringing their A Games to entertain you, and if all goes well they get to move onwards to other Comedy Hotspot shows.

CARL JONES (MC)

Midlands comic Carl Jones first hit the circuit in 2011 after winning the Nottingham Comedy Festival Best Newcomer in his first handful of gigs. Since then, he’s gone on to reach the BBC New Comedy Award heats, the latter stages of numerous national new act competitions and gigged at some of the top comedy clubs across the UK.

JAKE STEERS

The very likeable Jake is a newer comedian to the circuit but he is climbing the ranks fast. His comedy is clever with great big punchlines and all delivered with a laid back style. You can’t help but be in a good mood when Jake is on stage.

ABI CARTER SIMPSON

Abi’s performing career spans over a decade. From comedian to singer, actress to presenter; be it a comedy club, radio, live theatre, TV or on the big screen, she has consistently strived to entertain and make an audience feel at ease. She was a Britain’s Got Talent Semi Finalist and she has a very bright future in comedy.

DOMINIC WOODWARD

Dominic’s act is packed full of jokes, gags, banter, stories and a bit of daft comedy magic that involves the audience and always takes the roof off. He also beats the world record for speed balloon modelling every show – it’s hilarious and a must-see! With almost 20 years experience on the UK circuit he’s a safe pair of hands. He’s cheeky, charming, full of energy and hilarious.

Dinner and a Show!

Bill’s Kitchen, within Ludlow Assembly Rooms, is now offering a 2-course meal before the show for only £15 (if booked 24 hours in advance). Book your table directly with Bill’s Kitchen and come along any time after 5.30pm to eat before the show starts – the earlier you come the bigger the menu selection. Please note that due to the popularity of these events you may be invited to share a table with other diners on the night.
