Life can be too serious right? Buy a ticket, sit back and let Comedy Hotspot deliver a great night of fun and laughter. A night of comedy from some of the best stand up acts on the UK circuit.

Doors at 7.30, bar open!

The line up:

JON PEARSON

Jon began stand up comedy in 2010, with his first performance at Birmingham’s Highlight Comedy Club. Cut to nine years later and Jon has become a regular face on the circuit, performing at prestigious clubs such as The Glee, The Boat Show, Up The Creek, Last Laugh, Laughterhouse. Jon’s career has even taken him overseas with performances in Spain, Norway and even as far away as Wigan (it is like being on another planet).

Jon is also a familiar face on at comedy festivals across the UK having taken three solo shows to the Leicester, Nottingham & Edinburgh festivals with the highlight of the all coming in the form of a sold out show at his home town Melton Theatre in Melton Mowbray.

Jon has also provided tour support for Darren Harriot on his UK 2018/2019 tour and Lucy Porter on her UK 2017 tour

Jon’s laid back storytelling has audiences hanging on his every word. With tales based around his own life experiences, his anecdotes are relatable and certain to have people in hysterics. Jon is a prefect addition to any line up and can both MC and do a set.

PETE PHILLIPSON

Originally from Lincolnshire, Manchester-based Pete Phillipson has had an impact on the UK stand up comedy scene, mixing fast paced observations and routines with wonderful characterisations. Able to command a variety of accents, audiences love his misfortunes and frustrations with the minutiae of everyday life.

He regularly performs at some of the UK’s biggest comedy clubs, including The Stand, The Glee Club and The Comedy Store. As well as appearances at the Edinburgh Festival, he has performed internationally, in comedy clubs in Norway and Belgium.

“Great act with a big future” – Laughing Stock

NICK CLARKE

Nick Clarke, a comedic force to be reckoned with, has been taking the comedy scene by storm with his razor-sharp wit and infectious charm. Nick’s journey into the world of comedy was marked by a passion for laughter and an unwavering dedication to his craft.

His unique blend of observational humour, clever wordplay, and relatable anecdotes quickly won over audiences and earned him a loyal following.

Nick brings a depth of knowledge and authenticity to his performances that sets him apart from the rest. His ability to find humour in the everyday, coupled with his impeccable timing, has made him a favourite among audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

CHRISTIAN REILLY

At the age of 15, Christian Reilly joined a band to get laid. The Salvation Army had different ideas… As former integral part of the Perrier award-winning show Otis Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars, with comic/songster Rich Hall, Christian’s career has taken him around the world three times. On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and numerous network TV credits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Britain. Now a solo stand-up performer and playing all the major comedy venues in his own right, Christian uses his dynamic guitar and vocal skills to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians. He recently wrote and performed for ‘That Was

Then This Is Now’ (BBC Radio 2) as musical counterpart to Richard Herring and Emma Kennedy, as well as giving his improvisation skills an outing on Radio 2’s ‘Jammin’. Christian’s comic songs, improvisations, sharp wit and youthful energy have delighted audiences wherever he performs. Christian is without doubt one of the best comedians on the UK circuit today.
